Staycation time.

So. Here I am... on vacation! If the heat were ever on up in this bitch I would put on some steel drum music and pretend like I was in the Caribbean... just like my grandma did that one time. (It was HILARIOUS.) But alas, it is goddamn freezing in here so that just is not going to happen.

It is day 2 of my at home vacation, and so far I have managed to fill my time. Yesterday I went shopping with my sister, and today I slept in late and then wandered around downtown for awhile. I got some things accomplished, which was nice. But here's the thing. Now I have no idea what the heck I'm going to do for the rest of the week.

So, how 'bout it buddies? Do any of you kids ever find yourselves at home during the day in the middle of the week? If so, what do you do to pass the time? Do you go out every day? Where do you go? Help me out here, kids.

I don't want to get bored on my awesome vacation!

I find it's nice to run a bath, make a mug of tea and chillax with a girly magazine like "Glamour."

I finish school tomorrow, so I plan on lying on my couch, drinking Bailey's and maybe watching something funny on the DVD.

Awesome word verification for this comment: foodin

Oooooh, Bailey's! Yum.

So far I intend to take a trip out to the craft store, head over to explore Dunbar (I found a British Imports shop. I'm going to get Bacon Fries and other silly foods!)and spend one probably very long day cleaning out my room and getting rid of the giant piles of stuff I do not need. SOUNDS LIKE GOOD TIMES, HUH?

That still doesn't fill up entire days. BOOO!

There are so many amazing bakeries all down West 4th, Dunbar, Broadway, etc., I would spend an entire day going to every single one and filling up on cookies, cakes, tarts, torts and brownies! And I would bring lots home to stock up my freezer.

if you're looking for something to do outside the house... i'm not sure i can help. i don't go out often.

I'm always on the run during the week, normally. With work and school, I don't have time to do much else. This week, I'm off for five entire days with nothing on my agenda. The first thing I did today was open my shades, which was a trip, because I realized that I haven't done that in a while, since I'm usually only home for a hour or so before I'm gone for the day. Next, I plan to eat some pancakes and bacon. Then, I'm going to sit around in my bathrobe for a while, and then go hang out with friends. I'm not going to plan anything until Monday. That's what I try to do when I have free time- just wait for something to happen and join in. If it was nice outside, I'd probably head to a metropark for some trail-walking, but since it's not, I might hit a coffee house, and enjoy not doing anything.

Oh yeah, my Grandma made me some banana bread. I'll probably eat some of that later.
